Ronald lives in a junkyard and makes sculptures out of soda cans…with his mind. In desperate need of money, he decides to reveal his telekinetic abilities to the world. He should have stayed hidden.

The Obscurantist eBook Steven Roy

I really enjoyed the characterization here. While most of the characters were basically cardboard cutouts of tropes from TV Tropes' pages, the main character is a fascinating fellow, with very simple desires, needs, and reactions to the world.

I enjoyed the story a great deal, but was thrown out of the reading by simply grammatical errors and poor editing. I think the author could stand a second pair of eyes here; more than spellcheck. Worth the .99, but do your readers a favor and make it the best it can be.

The Obscurantist eBook Steven Roy Reviews

Great short story
I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I'm not really a fan of "superpowers", but he managed to depict such a depth with so few words I just couldn't help but wishing there was more to the story!

The only character I found a bit... well, more to be desired from, was the little girl. I can understand if he wanted to depict her as brainwashed maniac with no comprehension of right and wrong, but the execution, like said, left much to be desired.

I highly recommend this to anyone interested in getting familiar with Steven Roy's writing style and imagination.
I actually read this paranormal novella a few weeks ago, but for some reason it never got translated into a review. Past time to rectify that. This is a great little story, well written, with solid characters, and the humor is hysterical. Okay, so it's black humor; get over it. It's gory and suspenseful, and I enjoyed every word. Thanks for the read, Mr Roy.
